History/Overview

This DownEast 32 was christened in the spring of 1980 by its original owner on Lake Texoma, Texas, and has remained a fresh water boat ever since. The current owner has totally refitted the boat from stem to stern with the thought of coastal cruising for a couple. All new running rigging and other mechanical gear installed was done so with one thought in mind...easy single handling. As a result, all winches, blocks, tackle, etc., installed on the boat was always at least one step above what was recommended by the manufacturers. The result, a dream to sail in just about any conditions, and one person can handle her.
